Apparently not everyone immediately touches the “off” button on that little backseat screen. Actress Heather Tom, an Emmy nominee for The Bold and the Beautiful and a regular guest-starring presence on shows like Law & Order: SVU, recently bought a Hell’s Kitchen co-op that she spotted on Taxi TV. Corcoran’s Jeanie Danis says Tom called her directly from the cab upon seeing the ad for a good-looking prewar one-bedroom priced under $450,000. “She was a little bit unsure about whether [it] was for real,” says Danis. “We met a few hours later, and she loved it.” Danis says the medium has worked wonders for her business; multiple callers have phoned her on their way to the airport. Some just give feedback. “I had someone call me at 3 a.m. who called it brilliant marketing,” she says. “He sounded like he’d had a few drinks.”
