Profile
Devoted to making New York’s smallest apartments more stylish and organized (the couple who owns the shop once lived together in a 200-square-foot studio), tiny living offers space-maximizing solutions with a modern edge and a whimsical point of view. “Large” furnishings occupy the front of the store—slipper chairs, candy-colored sofas, and storage benches—but “large” is a relative term, considering each piece is hand-picked with multi-functionality and space saving in mind. The back of the store is for the downright tiny—kitchen gadgets, office supplies, and decorative accents make even the most diminutive square-footage look spacious. While this shoebox-sized store may not have the inventory of the larger home retailers, their attention to detail and sense of humor are captivating: Anyone can carry a small plant container; tiny living has three three-inch garden gnomes to go with it.
