Profile
Despite the cacophony produced by the no-name rides with screaming passengers and the small-prized games with shouting barkers, this small amusement park remains the quintessence of Coney Island thanks in part to its legendary Cyclone roller coaster which possesses an 80-foot 60-degree jaw-dropping drop described by Charles Lindbergh as "more thrilling than flying solo across the Atlantic." Since that landmark ride takes a mere two-minutes-and-30 seconds to experience, you can actually see and do everything in a couple of hours: the Top Spin with its flipping death cab, the Astrotower with its cloud-level views, the spooky Dante’s Inferno and the clothes-drenching Water Flume being among the most popular.
