Those Magnolia cupcakes are part of the Sex and the City tour, right?
Yep. I don’t have to wait on line, I just go right in. I’ll put them out and say, “Everyone on the tour gets a cupcake!” And random people will hover and wait, so you have to make sure you don’t get cupcake stealers.
How long have you been a tour guide?
Just over four years. I had been living in the city acting for three years, and I needed a side job.
Are you still acting?
I’ve started writing and producing stuff on my own, and I’m not really auditioning as much. I have a film that’s being used as a therapy tool in eating-disorder programs. That’s become my little platform.
Very different from Sex and the City.
Listen, I know it’s fluffy. I’m not bettering people at my day job. But when you have a really fun tour, you know they walk away and really remember that experience, which is satisfying.
Memorable tour moments?
I met my boyfriend. He used to drive the bus for the tour. I’d heard he had a crush on me, and I was like, “Are you kidding?” But, yeah, the cute little man wore me down. We’ve been together almost a year; we’re the real Sex and the City.
