| Performs:
Celtic, gypsy, and medieval folk music on mandolin.
From: Lancashire, UK. Seanin arrived in New York eight years
ago.
Day Job: Painting and decorating,
but mostly busking and selling CDs of his solo music and that
of his band, Trubadore.
Favorite Spots: Seventh Avenue and Bedford Avenue subway
stations in Brooklyn. "I don't care for Manhattan. It's too
competitive."
Claims To Fame: His former
band, the Big Geraniums, had a couple of chart hits and toured
Europe and Australia.
Best Day's Take: "It's considered a faux pas amongst buskers
to answer that questionbad luck, too." Performs four
days a week, three to eight hours a day.
On Busking: "I'm a good musician,
so gradually, it pays off. I sell CDs, make contacts, collect
people's email addresses for mass mailings for my gigs."
